Terms of use · Effective 30 September 2026

These terms cover the RaBalance app for iOS and Android. Installing or using the app means accepting them. The terms of the store it came from apply alongside them: Apple's standard licence agreement for apps on iOS, and Google Play's terms on Android.

Using the app

RaBalance can be used for personal and business bookkeeping, and it is free at the moment. If paid features are ever added, their price and terms are shown in the app before anything is bought.

The ledger is yours to keep

The ledger lives only on the device, so keeping it safe is up to the user. RaBalance cannot recover a ledger it never had: a phone lost or wiped without a backup, or the app deleted without one, takes the ledger with it.

On an iPhone the app backs up to iCloud by itself, and on any phone it can export the ledger as a file; the support page explains how. Backup files are not encrypted, so whoever holds one can read it.

Rates are information, not advice

The exchange and gold rates in the app are gathered from public sources and combined automatically. They can be late, incomplete or wrong, and they are not the buying or selling price of any bank, exchange office or jeweller.

Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax or accounting advice. Check a rate with the party you are dealing with before relying on it.

RaBalance helps keep track of money. It does not produce the books or documents that Turkish law requires businesses to keep, such as those under the Tax Procedure Law (No. 213), and it does not replace an accountant.

Fair use of the services

The app fetches rates and updates from servers run for RaBalance. Use them through the app: do not overload them, and do not harvest the rates feed for use elsewhere. Access can be limited for anyone who does.

Availability

The rates service and app updates can change, pause or stop. The ledger does not depend on them: the app opens and works offline, with the last rates it has.

No warranty

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided as it is, without any promise that it is free of errors or suitable for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, RaBalance is not liable for lost data, for decisions taken on the basis of rates or figures shown in the app, or for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any right a consumer has under Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection.

Changes

These terms can change as the app does. The effective date at the top moves when they do, and using the app after a change means accepting the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
